Creativity is usually not much of a requirement in big corporations – they have systems to squash that! However it is critical in startups especially at the outset. Creativity is not just painting pictures or playing music or writing poetry but is actually about self expression i.e. expression from the heart. It comes in many forms dependent only upon the creator’s talents. I remember years ago when educating myself about pitching for venture, that I read somewhere how venture capitalists are often attracted to the creativity & passion of a lot of entrepreneurs. Generally these are qualities that are not as common amongst venture capitalists.
