I put an investor’s panel together for the good folks @Data2.0 Week. The investors are thanks to Rachel Pike, Principal DFJ; Cindy Padnos, Founding Partner Illuminate Ventures; Arif Janmohamed, Partner Lightspeed Ventures; Benjamin Tseng, Investment VP DCM & James Cham, Partner at Bloomberg Beta with moderator: Jim Kaskade, CEO Infochimps. The panel is titled ‘Investor’s Perspective: Trends in Data and Analytics Investment’ & will be Thursday Oct 3rd at 11:00 AM @Data2.0 Week. This panel aims to explore the new trends in data and analytics – from data science and predictive analytics to NoSQL and NewSQL – by asking the investors actively investing in the data and analytics space. What current technologies / industries are investors most interested in now? Will there be more investor activity in the business / end user tools versus developer / infrastructure tools? Where along the technology stack (hardware, data layer, analytics layer) are you, as an investor, most interested in watching for deal flow?
Here is a great interview with Rachel Pike that we did @TheStartupConference
